What happens when an event sells out?

Customers instantly see a “Join Waitlist” button instead of just “Sold Out”. They enter their name, email, and party size — no account required.

How do people get tickets when space opens up?

The system automatically detects new stock (refunds, cancellations, or admin changes) and offers it to the next person(s) in line — first-come, first-served. They receive an email with a secure, time-limited purchase link.

How long do they have to buy the offered tickets?

By default, 24 hours (fully adjustable in EventON → Settings → Tickets → Waitlist). After that, the spot is offered to the next person.

Can I limit how many people can join the waitlist?

Yes — set a maximum waitlist size per event (e.g., 50 or unlimited “X”).

Will reserved tickets be visible to everyone?

No — reserved spots are hidden from regular visitors. Only the person with the correct offer link sees and can purchase their reserved tickets.

Can customers join the waitlist without logging in?

Yes — it works for guests and logged-in users alike. No account required.

Can I customize the emails (confirmation & offer)?

Absolutely — edit subjects and full HTML templates directly in EventON settings, or override them in your child theme. Supports {{event-name}} and other placeholders.

Does it work with repeating events?

No — at the moment ticket waitlist work with Simple Tickets without repeats.
